Do you smell the latkes in the TBR kitchen? It’s that time of year for the dreidel to spin and the chocolate gelt to be eaten! HANUKAH FUN DAY DECEMBER 18TH ! There will be tons of amazing things to do and yummy food to eat. I encourage you to bring the whole family and friends!
The holidays are upon us and it’s time to celebrate with family and friends! Of course in Youth Group it also a time to think about other people that don’t have family and friends with whom they can celebrate.
TBR Youth Group stresses the importance of Mitzvot, do good for others. Between myself and the wonderful YG leaders, we are always striving to communicate with one another of how significant and special to help others in need. This is a simple task…. Drop off a couple of canned or dried food products to the temple or a local food drive' simply helping a friend in school or even helping an elderly neighbor shoveling their driveway when the snowy months come through; help someone cross the street. Keep in mind that doing a good deed for others warms the heart and mind of not only the ones in need but also youself! With the Chanukah upon us the YG always has a couple of ways to make someone's days a little happier and cheerful.
Youth group updates… In just a couple of busy months we have had visits from Shir our energetic Shalichot, who has been teaching us about Israel in such a way that the kids have a blast and giggle and laugh while learning! All grades have tested their Israel facts with a cool game, and of course the random acts of silliness and jokes that the kids tell at the end of session.
Please remember, it’s not the quantity, it’s the quality. Quality of the programs, schools, or activities in which your child can become a part. TBR is the place where there are a variety of events and activities to become involved in. If you have not had a chance to become a part of this wonderful program, it is never too late to start. Call me, stop by my office, email me, I would love to talk to you.
