ChaverWeb Member Portal FAQ's

What is ChaverWeb? 
ChaverWeb is the name of TBR’s new member portal which will allow you to manage your temple account online by securely logging into our website with your own private password. You will be able to manage your personal temple business with a click of the mouse instead of making numerous phone calls or sending payments by mail!

What is the Purpose of this New System? 
ChaverWeb’s online access will allow you quickly and safely communicate with TBR in an efficient manner to accomplish many tasks which currently require multiple phone calls or written correspondence. This will save time for our members and also allow our office staff to streamline their time with less interruption.  You will be able to:  
•    View and edit your specific demographic data;
•    Submit and pay for donations, such as tribute cards, commemorative and memorial plaques or religious items, Kol Nidre and other giving opportunities;
•    Keep track of Yahrzeit dates;
•    Register for upcoming social and educational events;
•    View and pay your membership fees or outstanding bills;
•    Place an advertisement in our yearly ad journal.
Be sure to click on “SAVE” at the bottom of each page that you update!

Is ChaverWeb Secure?
The ChaverWeb system is SAFE. It is a secure site hosted by the same company which supplies Temple Beth Rishon with its management and database program called ChaverWare. Each household account ID will be unique to each family. All demographic changes and payments that are done online will be reviewed and approved by our office staff. Your personal information remains confidential and will be seamlessly integrated into our database.

How do I join the online portal? 
You will receive a welcome email that provides you with a link to Temple Beth Rishon’s ChaverWeb and a temporary password to access the system. Once you have logged in with your temporary password, you will be prompted to change your password to one that is easier for you to store and remember.  If you have not received the welcome email, please contact the temple office to confirm your email address so that we may resend it to you. 


What if I Forget my Password?
Click on the Member Log-in icon in the right hand corner above.  At the bottom of the ChaverWeb Sign in box, you will see a prompt “Forgot your username or password?” Click on the prompt and you will soon receive an email from ChaverWeb with a temporary password.  Enter the temporary password onto the log-in menu and you will be ready to go!

How Do I Change My Password?
You may change your password at any time by clicking the “Change Your Password” button. 

Who Will Have Access to my Account?
Our member database integrates with ChaverWeb to create a separate Family ID for each “family.”  A “family” is composed of up to two (2) primary adults and any children so each family account may have up to two (2) usernames/email addresses. However, you will share one password. Only the Primary Adults will have access to the account, even if the children are over the age of 18. 

How do I View my Account Charges and Payments?
If you would like to see a list of recent transactions on your account, click the “Account Status” button. You can also click on the “Payments” tab to see recent payments we have received or to make a payment. Don’t forget to hit “Save” at the bottom of each page as you update! 

Can Non-members Make Online Contributions or Register for an Event? 
Yes, friends who are not TBR members can use the Member Login link or follow the online donation link on the Giving Opportunities page, then click on the "Create a Guest account" link. They will need to register as a guest on our site to make a donation, register for an event or place an advertisement in our ad journal online.

Why do I Need to Review my Family’s Demographic Information?
It will be extremely helpful to the office staff if you would please review all the information listed for your family to verify that it is complete and accurate.  Only your personal input can assure that all of the information in TBR’s database is correct and up to date. 

Why Don’t My Changes or Payments Appear Instantly After I Have Entered Them?
Our member portal is linked to our member database. The systems are synced each morning during the business week. Any changes you have made to your account may not be reflected until we sync our system the next day.  At times, there may be delays in syncing our two systems. If your changes are not appearing after a few business days, please contact the temple office.

Why will We Be Using ChaverWeb for School and Camp Registration? 
We are using the member portal in order to streamline the registration process for the future. The first time you navigate the online registration process, it may seem a bit time consuming to complete all the necessary fields. However, you will be pleased to know that if you choose this option, next year’s registration will be much less complicated.  In subsequent years, once all the initial data has been updated, you will only be asked to “confirm” or “update” the information for all the repeated information which you entered the first time.

If I Have Multiple Children, will the ChaverWeb Registration Auto-fill the Carpool, Medical, and Other Duplicate Information? 
Unfortunately, at this time, the ChaverWeb registration program will not auto-fill duplicate information for more than one child. You will need to enter each child’s complete information. However, next year you will only need to confirm the information instead of re-entering it if your information remains the same. 

How do I know if my registration has been submitted successfully? 
You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of the information you provided after the process has been successfully completed. Please note: If the “Bill Me” option is selected, your registration will not be finalized until follow up has been completed with the accounting office.
