We are fortunate as Jews to have so many traditions that provide meaning and spiritual beauty for the many stages and experiences we go through in our lifetime. Along with these traditions come numerous rituals and details that transform these experiences into a formal event. These are referred to as LIFE CYCLE EVENTS.
There are a variety of reasons for performing ritual in a particular way when celebrating a life cycle event, and we sometimes search for explanations to give us a better understanding of what needs to be done. To this end, our Ritual Committee has compiled a comprehensive explanation of each Life Cycle Event for our members' reference.
Below are links to each specific Life Cycle Event. Please explore these pages for a detailed explanation of each type of event. In addition, you will find our advice on how and when to begin planning the simchas or how to prepare for a sorrowful event which happens unexpectedly.
Should you need further information while planning your specific life cycle event, please do not hesitate to contact the Rabbi or the Cantor with any questions or concerns that may arise.
