Social Services within the Greater Jewish Community


Based upon Jewish tradition and values, the mission of Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Northern New Jersey is to strengthen and preserve the well-being of individuals and families, to help them effectively meet the challenges and changes through life by providing quality human services and professional counseling to all who call upon its services. 

JFCS NNJ provides needed services for the community, including:

  • Mental Health services for adults, couples, children, teens and families, including monthly Support Groups on key topics including Bereavement, Divorce, Alcohol & Drugs, and the Art of Aging – Please see our calendar of events for exact meeting dates

  • Services for the Elderly, including Senior Care Management and Kosher Meals-on-Wheels and specific services for Holocaust Survivors – For more information, please visit

  • Emergency services for those in need, including two Food Pantries (located in Teaneck and Fair Lawn), temporary Financial assistance, and Information and referrals in conjunction with other nonprofit and government agencies

  • ReLaunch Career services for individual who are under or unemployed, including resume assistance and interview coaching.

JFCS NNJ can also help with Bat & Bar Mitzvah projects, providing teens with a personal Mitzvah Coach.  Interested families should email  JFCS NNJ is always looking for volunteers to run Food Drives or deliver food to homebound Seniors through Kosher Meals-on-Wheels.  Volunteer inquiries should be sent to
