Temple Beth Rishon

Diane Silberman joined Temple Beth Rishon in August of 2006 as the Director of the Andrew Friedland Preschool.  She graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook with both a BA and MA degree in education and is a certified teacher in NY, NJ and Arizona. In addition to her teaching career as an elementary teacher in 3 states, Diane's experiences in education includes serving a three year term as an elected member of the Montville Township Board of Education.

Diane has been involved in Jewish education and the Jewish community for much of her adult life. As a member of the Pine Brook Jewish Center in Montville, NJ, she served as President of the Sisterhood and President of the temple. Diane and her husband Marty moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1994 where she initially taught at a very small Jewish day school in Scottsdale. Eventually, Diane helped to grow that school into a thriving K-8 school., serving as the Elementary Division Director since 2000. Diane is happy to return to NJ, where she is in much closer proximity to her family.
